So you outted yourself as a racist. Now you want to try to shift attention away from that.
Understandable. Not manly at all, but understandable.

No, I'm not going to help you out of the hole you put yourself in. Just keep digging.

I'd say the racist is the person who wrote it. You. Sure you can try to turn it on the one who outed you, as is often attempted, but no one is fooled.

Funny, you didn't equate "Zombies" with "Pirates". Just "Monkeys".

Convenient that you "won't help" by explaining what you meant. Where's that connection between Monkeys and Pirates? I guess it might take a few hours for you to work out some pretzel logic to explain it.

It's 2010, time to drop the hillbilly hatred. Everytime I travel to "Ol' Dixie" I see it, often with the wink and nod of your post.

Yep, the racist can't help himself. As you say, you can try to divert attention from it, "but no one is fooled."

First person I've ever considered putting on an ignore list in this forum, but I really don't like racists.

I'm done with you and your racist posts, Paul "Closet Racist" B.
You live in your sick world. I want no part of it.

Once again you post drivel, yet have no answer for your equating Pirates and Monkeys. I'm sure you are working on some ridiculous explanation.

I know that sort of thing is just fine in your part of the world. I've witnessed it firsthand. Those of us who were raised in a multicultural environment take exception to it.

As I mentioned before, it is 2010 and we won't accept the wink and nod anymore. George Wallace is long gone.

O.K. Folks, back to work again. Stoned can I make a suggestion. You get some 10.000 boat.net viewers to donate between 1 and 10 dollar to you for your project. What you then do , you travel around in the world as fast as you can in the below sea. shark.

http://www.seabreacher.com/watercraft

I bet with you, that you will have, in every harbour you make a stop to refuel, the newspapers and visitors giving you lots of donations and a hand to help. What about that idea ???? Crazy , no man, just having to do a lot of planning on how to get fuel between your stops. I will pledge 10 dollar, provided you get enough donations, to make it sufficient feasible. Then you will have the attention of the world. Not in a small boat. Nobody is going to see you off. Nobody is even interested if you do make it to the other end.

To keep this thread moving on, how about changing a few of the parameters.

Assume you have a extremely experienced sailor who has enough sponsors to finance a state-of-the-art 10' boat. Bleeding edge of sailing technology even.

Whats the forum's opinion of the biggest threat to the safety of boat and sailor?

Ships?
Whales?
Giant Squid?
Pirates?
Rogue Waves?
Pierced Tongue infection?
Acute Constipation from limited movement?
Zombies?
Blackholes?
Alien abduction (including brain probe via uranus)?
Sea Monkee attack? (or would that be a pirate)
Sharks?
Submerged Volcanic activity?
Hurricane?
Whirlpool?

What am I missing here?
Overdose of extasy

In a ten foot boat, I would be worried about getting swamped or rolled. Maybe a design with an outrigger would work.

Would not be to worried about alien abduction or sea monkeys, aliens all seem to congregate in a cornfield outside Mobile Alabama, and sea monkeys(?) dont like deep water.

There was a guy named Mustafa Umut Sarac in a yahoo boat group that wanted to escape from Turkey. He had a number of people helping design the smallest possible escape craft. Eventually after thousands of posts people realized he was crazy and when confronted, he went out in a blaze of white hot fury, putting a curse on all of our mothers, something about their wooden legs and filling up their privates with cement.

If that forum could be found, there was hundreds of posts from a bunch of knowledgeable people seriously trying to help design an extremely small boat for open water sailing.

I don't know how much reading about boat design is going to help you. Reading about survival at sea might be more helpful, people in life rafts and such, what they did to survive, the things they wished they had.

Since you only expect to go 2 knots or miles per hour, probably one of the best things you could do would be to find out which way all the currents go, since even a small current the wrong way would probably keep you out there long enough to die.

I'm thinking he's quite intelligent but has some synapse issues, no fault of his own. He's got a blog with a lot of interesting photos and art, but no descriptions that I can figure out.

His first selfmade vessel (formerly a fish trawler)

What have you got against hillbillies? Are you some kind of regionalist?
