Conversión to diésel sterndrive

    Hi GUYs I'm in the process of converting my Bertram 25 from two gas engine to a single diésel sterndrive I have a Volvo Kamd 42 p with Volvo 290 duopro sterndrive and I need help . How to open the hole where the sterndrive will be, Any info will be really appreciate Thanks in advance

    Volvo will have a template to cut the hols.

    A jig saw with grit edges (not teeth ) will create the least dust when cutting GRP..

    First rebuilt the transom to eliminate the existing stern drive cutouts. Chamfer the cutout holes and plywood core inserts to give more surface area for epoxy bonding. Then feather the fiberglass layer by layer. Then any volvo sterndrive dealer can give you a transom cut template to make the new hole.
