For what its worth, i did a little research on concrete subs...
I joined an concrete engineers forum and posted some questions to the pro's about concrete sub's
They all agreed it could be done safely with proper testing..
But they also all agreed that it would be more expensive then building it in steel....

Im sorry i cannot ask anymore questions on the Concrete Engineers forum...
It was a forum for Professionals that contribute info to one another, they quickly figured out i had nothing to contribute and kicked my ass out...

That happened to me on an engineering forum.

It wasn't that I wasn't an engineer but rather because it was a "do it yourself" project

Forums can be dangerous places.

I belonged to a gun forum for five years, and got banned because my political views didn't match those of a moderator who decided he was the new sheriff in town. Apparently, if you don't have your finger permanently grafted in your nose and don't believe Sarah Palin is George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt all rolled into one and looking hot in a skirt on top of it all, you aren't worthy to own and discuss guns.....

I loved that forum, and had thousands of posts in it. But it's been taken over by people who rant about Obama taking orders from China, climate-change treaties revoking our Constitution, health care reform being a communist plot to take control of every aspect of our lives, etc. They don't care how many guns you own, or what you know about them that might help other gun owners, gun collectors or gunsmiths.

Based as you can figure on the 1911 but has sub forums with knowledgeable folks of all strips. I am such a history buff- I spend most of my time there following the USGI threads.

Gave the address of the gun forum to Wellmer Saffffffff (I never remember how many F has this moroon) so they can clame their new endeavour: The Concrete Gun, Yes my friends the concrete gun is the new stuff. Never done but they are searching actively for investors. The oil platform in the North Atlantic are made of concrete, why not guns? A concrete gun was describe by the engineer Cemento Concreto de Ferro in his book: how to make a concrete gun.
