Composite Programs

Does anyone know of a good midrange program for figuring out the strength of a layout of materials, like plywood and fiberglass, or several layers of carbon fiber.

I'm also look for reference material for Plywood, Steel, Fiberglass (and other composite materials.).

Thanks,

Joe

Photjoe:

Vectorply has a free download called Vectorlam. It is usedd to calculate FRP laminate thicknesses and layups. here is the link:

It might be a start for what you are looking for.

Book for Reference:

There is a good book called the "Glassfibre Handbook" by RH Warring

And you can download the ABS and Germanischer lloyds rules for Fiberglass boats
