Composite Lumber, 3 questions ???

Hi, Dry for this summer and new to the forum. But, I have read many threads and links regarding repairing decks, bulkheads and stringers. I am in the process of doin so myself. 22' Aerocraft cuddy, 26 years old...The question I have: Has anyone ever tryed using the composite (home deck/patio) lumber material for stringers or bulkheads? It would seem as a perfect repair alternative product. They have no rot/moister problems do not warp, screws hold for pedastals, etc etc. I was thinking of using them for floor support ribs and around the gas tank.
2nd question is: Do epoxy resins stick to the stuff?
3rd. Is that "great stuff" yellow foam OK for small voids?
Thanks
Eric

Location: Conn in summers , Ortona FL in winter , with big dock & room for O'nite stop .
composite (home deck/patio) lumber

Stuff like Trex lacks stiffness and is very very heavy, does not hold screws.

Conventional wood will work just fine .

We HAVE used Azek as wood replacement for trim.
Works fine and is really EZ to machine., But again not strong at all.
