Comments on my pictures?

I know this is not a Flamingo forum :-)
BUT, I have added a few more pictures of the Backman 18, modelled in Rhino and rendered with Flamingo. I am not trying to make it perfectly photo-realistic, but to give a fair impression, make the potential buyer/builder want it :-)

As it is a sporty boat, maybe you should put a little more action in it. A bit of heel and wake perhaps?

Thanks to both of you.
I will try to make some more action, I agree, it was just so simple to use the flat water :-)
We have not designed any cruisen boats ourselves yeat, but we do offer kits to Dudley Dix' designs.

Raggi - it's amazing what little details add to the whole rendering thing.
Not to blow my own horn, but.... http://www.boatdesign.net/gallery/sh...big/ppuser/909
Lighting is also very important.

Thanks Steve, your picture is really neat.
I'll add more details...
Do you use more lights than the sun and sky?

The back of the boat...Opened,directly conected to the water, always interests me.Won't trap any water in the area(i think).Really wish to have the buoyancy calculation ability to design such boat.Add a little make up, here and there, and It surely turned to a beautiful boat.

Raggi, as you can see, Steve´s boat has a lot of detail and that means he can "show" a closer view.

Yours have no detail, I mean cables, rudder, etc, so at that stage you should only try to show the boat in a faraway view, were we can see the global shape (nice boat) but where the details are not visible.

Tanks Vega, I will try to add more details, but it takes time...
Now the boat is ready for painting and test sails in a few weeks, I hope.
The real thing is always better :-)

Too true, Raggi. And takes much more skill to achieve.
