| Clearance under a bridge Hi, With a lot of interest I read this forum. As a boat buyer (not a designer) I'm looking to buy Yamaha jetboat (SX230). I'm living on the water with a bridge to the Gulf. The problem is that I need to have additional clearance to get under the bridge. Therefore I'm looking for a removable or foldable windshield. I already searched on the internet and probably talked to around 50 people with no success. I was thinking to keep the current windshield but with some hinges to temporary remove it. Another option would be to replace the whole windshield with a folding windshield. Maybe any of you guys have an idea where I could order and install this kind of windshield or maybe somebody could develop it for me. Thanks. |

| Look at the many Euro & esp the Dutch boats online. Most have all sorts of very smart folding setups for their inland canal system. FAST FRED |

| It would be a rare bridge indeed that a Yammie jet couldn't fit under.... the Dutch canal boats, as Fred says, would be a good starting point.
