Gooday Woody - How competitive do you want to be ??? Do you want to be up there with the leading 'Visions' - 'DNA's - etc - or just go sailing or just advertise your own design boat ??? Ciao, james

I am just looking for a very fast cat to build as i live in Barbados there is not much chance of competition .
most of the cats on the island are hobie cats.
i need a boat that can be sailed by one or two crew.
and i like the idea of a single sail boat
    thanks woodguy

    .

Apologies, and I don't mean to make fun at all,

Can I build this cat, but instead build it to hold twin outboards for putting around?

Or can you recommend a cat this size for outboard power?

Gooday 'woody' 'A' class are very fast & a great boat. Much better value would be a 'Mosquito' class catamaran. Can be sailed - one-up or two-up - you can sail it with a mail only or main & jib &/or with a spinaker. WOW all those choices for much less money for the plans & cheaper to build & as an added bonus it will handle a bit of a sea-way much better. I've got an 'A' class lined up to buy but I'm sure looking very hard at buying a 'Mosquito' instead - as I feel they are much better in the long run. Ciao, james
