I'm currently looking at a sailing catamaran design. At the moment I'm dreaming and thinking, but some nagging questions keep coming up.
I went to the West Palm Beach boat show and saw some cats with fly bridges, mind you they were power cats, but I fell in love with the flybridge. I was instructed to look here
www.catamarans.com. Now this is almost it, but I would really like to be able to have more sitting area on the fly bridge above the main salon. This requires more head room. So this causes the boom to be higher which I would assume makes the mast higher or you lose sail area and speed. What issues does raising these two cause? Capsizing? Can it be fix with wider beam? What issues does a wider beam cause? More money? Bad handling? (Sorry don't know all the sailing terms yet. I'm just a self taught internet hound).
If you have any other issues that I didn't bring them up please feel free to post them.
