Cabin on a bass fishing boat?

I have a free bass boat, if I want it. I was wondering if I could use the hull and convert it into a cabin cruiser type boat? The cabin only has to be big enough for two adults.

You'll really have to be more specific about the boat, including size, weight, material, condition, and so forth.

If it's the typical "flats" boat most folks call a "bass boat" (except those from downeast who mean something else completely) you'll be hard pressed to have enough freeboard alone, to make a small cabin with sitting headroom and not have it look like a Winnebago is parked on the casting deck.

This of course doesn't take into account the weight, which can be a difficult issue. If the boat is long enough, has enough freeboard and is generally way over powered like most bass boats are and you can build really light, you have a shot at installing a cabin.

That's a lot of "if's", but it's doable. It may look weird, but it's doable.

Of course it would be most helpful if you could offer the basics as Allan has mentioned. Year, make, model, maybe some photos and possibly a sketch of your plans, other wise it's just a bunch of guessing.
