BJ hull is more efficient. Tom took his flat chines out to 12 " at the transom. He has also designed a BJ stretched to 25.5 feet.

Both the Novi 23 http://www.boatplans-online.com/prod....php?prod=NV23 and the Down East 23 http://www.boatplans-online.com/prod....php?prod=DE23

are worthy of your consideration.

Malta has its own traditional vessels. Why not search out a builder to work with?
