bow shapes of ships

Hi,
i recently picked this topic to find out how many different kinds of bow shapes
have existed till today.with the advent of X-bow it is now question as to which
bow should we use for the ship such as bulk carrier and container ships.if anyone has any idea on the evolution of bow shapes ,pics or docs please do share.
