| Bow Flare How would one add Bow flare to an existing hull? I'm re-doing a formula 255 into a CC and I'd like to add some extra bow flare. Is this more trouble then it's worth? Nice Web... site this is my first post. Chuck |

| When you add flare, the deck camber continues down, so the sheerline gets a dip. Both hull and deck need to be modified. You can use structural foam bonded to the hull and then glass over the whole thing.

| Need to look up those terms Camber and Sheerline.. but I think I know what you mean. Are you talking about raising the bow upward higher then it is? If so is there a way to do it without raising the bow.. just add some outward flare? Sorry for the ignorance Chuck |

| The camber or curve on the deck will continue down if you widen the hull. Adding flare will increase the beam. You may need to modify the shape of the deck so it ends on the sheerline you want. The sheerline is the intersection of the hull and deck. It is very important because it defines the shape of the boat more than anything else.
