Sorry, miswrote the question - what boat you have seen, was the question.

more information needed, for what purpose? I have seen row boats, canoes, kayaks, small sailboat, paddle boats, sailboards, surfboards, fishing boats, inflatable boats, air mattresses, and others rented. What is the purpose or intent?

The best you can do is offer as many choices as you can. Tourists want and need choices. It's the reason they show up and the only way you can catch them. Everyone rents a peddle boat once. Those that like to go real slow and are into calf cramps might rent again. As a boat, they are truly the worst piece of junk going, but tourists will pay to peddle around for an hour. Having as many choices as possible, draws the largest market share. Asking this question suggests someone else might be better qualified to write your business model.

I wanted to know peoples personal experience about renting boats and what they thought was the best, coolest, most fun boat they have rented, used. So again. What is the most fun rental boat you have rented? ![]()

A large canoe. Simple, wide and stable, easy to use, will carry lots of stuff and family, low maintenance. Sail boats, sailboards, and typical kayaks take too much skill for the average renter (unless you do specialty renting in areas well known for sailboarding or kayaking). Sit-on-top kayaks seem popular in many warm climate resorts, but these are very slow pigs if you have any kayak experience in better boats. The paddle boats are one of the most useless things called a "boat", they are so inefficient that most can not even counter a light breeze in them even when paddling hard. the next worst thing are those silly larger stand-on-top boards used with a long single paddle.
