Jeez I'm a Wannabee on that stuff.
I just cant seem to learn to do it with the Tutorials that come with the Drawing downloads.
You did good. "...my brother said they'd be better off eating Beans!" for the Sailors who Whisteled for the Wind to fill their sales.
Cartoon that one

Hi Ryan.

That's a good start, could I throw in a couple of suggestions.

The display seems to be aimed at absolute beginners, so before you show the 'Port View' or 'Starboard View', you may actually want to display and explain what Port and Starboard mean ?

The next steps I guess are to label and display the working parts like booms, halyards, rudders, sheets, winches etc.

I am sure a lot of yacht clubs would find such an animation really good for their 'Learn to Sail' evenings.

Doing it for a small dinghy as well as a big boat, and displaying tacking and gybing would be a real bonus.

Keep up the good work.

I love the little animation in the top right corner of your page, Ryan !
Should be sent to that Taiwan guy with his wind-powered turbine "boat" in another thread

The ladies at the bottom of the page are nice too

Mr. Watson & VERNET

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated! A few people of recommended more detailed explanations, so that'll be version 2.
I'll be adding a few more animations for edu purposes, they take a week or two, the next one I'm busy with is the man-over-board drill/s. After that I'll go back and add more detail to this one.
Luc, yeah there are some crazy ideas out there! Some even less feasible than the funky sailing snail. And those ladies bring in quite a few clicks from google images for some reason

Boat Hulls

Thanks
Ryan

I liked your Funky Snail. I tried to send it to a friend, former sailer, now landlocked somewhere north of Dallas Texas.
Couldn't copy it though.
