Bayliner 2859 / Albin 28ft Boat Comparisons

Hi all, looking for advice on 28/30ft power cruiser
considering between Bayliner 2859 or an Albin 28ft.

Prefere direct drive of the Albin, over the stern leg of the Bayline, but the cabin layout of the Bayline is more suitable.
Have read great reports of the Albins seakeeping abilities,
How good is the Bayliner in big seas?
Is the GRP construction of the two the same?
I believe that the Albin uses woven matt fiberglass( but not certain on this)
Do not know about the Bayliner method?
Is gas or diesel better
Appreciate any advice

I would say Albin vs Bayliner is pretty much an apples and oranges comparison. They are built for different markets. The Albin being built for the serious offshore folk. Here is a thread on TheHullTruth that may help -

"perfect" boat for a family of 4
