Best Hull design for a jetdrive

Are there any hull designs that better match a jet drive for speed and maneuverability? Are there advantages or sitting the unit further inside the boat so not much hangs off the transom.

 

Medium to deep V ,constant deadrise along the planing area ,plenty of lift in the bow. More jet out of the boat ,means more room in the boat ,never found a downside to this, apart from longer boat length. If you do need a more mid engined setup ,try and keep the jet and driveshaft under the floor ,or you will loose a lot of usable space.
