Auzepy Breneur Anyone got any contact with Auzepy Breneur? he designed Branec III and my new boat - an Akela 50, I am after my boats sail plan ASAP as I have a potential sail sponsor and want to strike whilst the iron is hot! I measured her rig last week (she is not local to me) but with a minium F4 over the mast on the quiet days it was not accurate enough! I will ask the builders, previous owners, previous sail builders etc. but a sail plan from the designer would be great! Thanks ! Paul.

Paul - a preliminary search indicates his name is Georges Auzepy-Breneur (or Auzepi-Breneur), but apart from that he may as well not exist on the web. I'll ask see if I can find more tomorrow. Steve

Hi Paul, No unfortunately I am not that Giovanni. I had been in touch with AYC to go and see the boat but then decided to buy a Sadler Barracuda 45. I am very interested in the Akela especially after learning that she was also produced in wood by MC2 boatyard and in fact there are two for sale right now in France. How does she perform? Did yuo make new sails for her? I will follow you adventure for which I wish you fair winds. Sincerely, Giovanni Last edited by bistag : 04-21-2004 at 02:58 AM. Reason: rong spelling
