| AORERE - 69ft Modern Classic Cutter Cruiser Hi all, this is my first post here. In 2009 for my final year Univercity assignment, I took a chance to design a boat as if I was an established yacht designer. I'd asked a friend, Murray White (best mate of the late Des Townson) and his wife to be my "fake" clients and conjure up their dream yacht they had always wanted. It took alot of effort and time as I had never done such an extensive project before, but a challange none the less. I'll post the written 'brief' outcome on the next post but I will leave you with the Final Model I built along with a good mate of mine, Mal Wilkinson. Models details: Scale 1:20 It was going to be a remote control model, but I changed my mind... I built a furling boom based on the full scale "lesuire-furl" design Working port and starboard lights Working anchor and chain stop hatch opens and closes All the best, leave me any positive, suggestions or what could be changed in the future. As I am a novice, any advice helps. Thanks I'm also looking for full time junior designer / stylist position, if you have a job available. email me at mccormickyachtdesigns@gmail.com Alex MORE TO COME LATER Last edited by McCormickDesign : 02-18-2010 at 07:16 PM. | ceder and e glass does not always work out so well if you get a pin hole the ceder swells and causes problems also teak is dam heavy stuff did you do a weight budget for this thing and is all that heavy teak up high going to work out ok
