Anyone recognize this?

My grandfather built this boat in the 1950's and we are having trouble trying to identify the make/model. Does it look familiar to anyone?




My father and I are going to restore it this year! We would love to try to find the original plans as well. We believe the original plans and design came from the American Plywood Assoc - but we have not been able to confirm that.

The areas painted orange is fiberglass - including the fins. She is 14' in length and 6' wide.

Somewhere in the far reaches of my memory, i seem to recall this was a Popular Science or Popular Mechanics homebuild plan from the 50s or 60s I also seem to recall Chrysler marine mass produced a very similar design in fiberglass. Geo.

But unfortunately not exactly the same as Eric's, and this one is 15'.

You are a great researcher Ange', and these are very similar. I think it is a slightly different model though. Not only are the fins and hull geometrics different, but the deck is very different also. Merry Christmas.

Yes, thank you for your replies. I have been all over the web search for any signs of similar designs, but still no luck. I will surely post my findings if I am so lucky.

Is anyone familiar with the Douglas Fir Plywood Association boat plans? I am guessing this may be where the plans originated from. I better hit the library..
