Then why did they become the most popular anchor the world has ever seen since they were introduced. Probably for the same reason Bruce claws became popular ....they store easily. I have a Danforth and 3 or 4 other anchors and when I get tired of trying the others I use my Danforth and it hasn't let me down yet. I'm going to get a Fortress for most of my anchoring.
