| mydauphin, "Danforths are not worth the metal they are made from." Then why did they become the most popular anchor the world has ever seen since they were introduced. Probably for the same reason Bruce claws became popular ....they store easily. I have a Danforth and 3 or 4 other anchors and when I get tired of trying the others I use my Danforth and it hasn't let me down yet. I'm going to get a Fortress for most of my anchoring.
