All this trouble... Hello... I reformat all my mental meanderings into a small little gallery of what I think is presentable - and no one comments... Is it because I have been labelled the marina drunkard - or is it because I did not upload 'snazee' 3D renders of same... I do not want to come off as a pathetic little wus who needs his EGO stroked - cause I can take a kick in the donksbottom - but I plead... Have a look at my feable mental meanderings - my 'gallery' as it is called and give me some feed (back) - and don't be gentle... I admit I came to this site looking for same - just as a muse - I have many things I SHOULD be doing - (wife list on chalkboard).... Anyway - appreciate odd comments I can review... Thanks... I hate 3D because my computer - well it talks to me - it tells me if I replace it with something sexier - things will happen - what things it is not specific about - but it is watching me - I know it is... How do you sneek in a sexy computer that can render in seconds without pissing off your old work horse... SH.

Not to date.. Hello... Only trouble to date is the fact that the leading edge of all foils is not raked aft - has been a bit of a kelp collector - vertical retract scapes most of that off save all that collects between the bulb and hull - a clean dagger would be better... Also beaching - the bulb does want to press against the hull... But I don't beach - I kick the stem in the sand - quick reverse and drop the hook.. Thanks... SH.

Sean, I had a look at your galelry, bu it wasn't in 3D so I left quickly ![]() Actually, they are exactly the sort of boats that the world needs, but doesn't want to buy. At least not in the States. People want big and flashy, even if their only use for a sailing yacht of 40-some feet is to "catch a better kind of bimbo than what the stinkpot boys get". I wish that line wasn't based on a true event, but... As far as your computer goes, I do all my 3D and rendering work on an old Gateway running a P3 at a miserable 500MHz. It takes long enough to start up that I can have my morning cup of coffee made before I have to enter a password, and drunk before it's worth starting any apps. Is yours slower? If not, then just tell it it's getting new clothes and invest in Rhino/Flamingo. ![]() Steve

| Steve, Are you saying us “stinkpot boys” have the inside track on bimbos? Shhhhhh, don’t tell my wife. ;-) Sean, I know nothing about sail boats. The Raven19 to me is way too tall for its length; it would maybe fit nicely in the show rooms today. Take it to the next step and put in all the things that belong in a boat that looks like that and see if it all fits. Somewhere creativity and reality have to merge. To help you here read Ted Brewer’s Understanding Boat Design, chapter 8, at least twice. Nobody said it would be easy; somebody will always be there to criticize. Keep at it; you’re only here because you love boats.Gary

Raven 19... Hello... Well thanks - as you can see I have an obsessive habit for going as small as possible - not to mention that most of my stuff is lost do to a HD crash... The 19 is an outboard hardtopper and everything did fit - but I will admit it is only good for a commuter - or for no more than two guys out fishing... I did that years ago in a student version of Prolines and it was based on the boats that I was building at the time - I was working for Dan Parker at Monaro Marine - and his boats (well the hulls) anyway are based on Cigarette One by Don Arranow or 'Donzi' See http://www.monaromarine.com/index.htm - check out the shots of the 27 footer in Alaska - crazy.... As for sail - my boat is 22 feet at the waterline with all lines led aft and OB motor controls in the the cockpit - lots of 'yacht' in a little boat - I like that everything is very close and at hand - on rough days it would be nice to have more of a keel and some more ballast and on same days when running home it would be nice to have something without such a fat A _ _ that always wants to broach - but I digress... Actually the sun is out so I should go do some house chores to please my wife so that I can go to the marina... Have fun... SH
