    I need to calculate angle of heel when towforce(bollard pull) is actiong one side of a tug

    as far as i know
    GG1=GM TAN@ @=THETA=ANGLE OF HEEL

    HERE GG1=(w*d)
    where w=tow force=bollard pull=150tons
    d=lever of winch=distance towing hook winch & cog of vessel

    (PLEASE CORRECT ME IF THIS CALCULATION IS WRONG)

    GM=KM-KG

    KM=BM+KB

    BM=I/V

    but problem is that i dont hav these valve of tug i only have length ,breadth DEPTH,draft of this vessel

    i have stability booklet of another vessel which has same hull shape
    but of different lenght and breadth but same depth,draft,Cb

    can i approxmate my valve for KG,KM,BM from the data of the other vessel
    if so how
    can anyone help me in this calulation

    OR IS THEIR ANY OTHER METHOD TO CALCULATE ANGLE OF HEEL?

    i also need to know which ratio deternines stablity
    L/T,B/T OT D/T

    i am attaching some simple software for resistance& propulsion calculation

    Information on KG calculation

    Sujith,If the depth ,draft and Cb are same the VCG and the VCB of the two ships can be approximated as the same.For BM you need to calculate the moment of inertia of the new ship by blocking the WP areas of the parent ship and then by integrating you can get the the moment.
