those 2 boats raced each other 2 months ago, the blue & white boat called (breakin point) put a 797hp (chev) engine for that race just to see what she would do with more horse power. (breakin point) wasn't aloud to race for points that day as she was 50hp over the 750hp limit. they just done it for exibition.
(breakin point) usually runs in the 550hp class, so they stuck 797hp engine in just to try. the yellow boat (stinger) has 710hp (ford), she is 40hp under the 750hp limit. on a straight course just over a mile. they don't start from dead stop, they take a running start up to the line, maybe 20mph. the yellow (stinger) beat's the (breakin point) 4 boats lenghts, under powered by 80 or more hp.
the (stinger) boat bounces like a halibut out of water, ( breakin point) goes on a really good line, no boucing at all. you mean to tell me that you gotta get your boat bouncing like that to get the speeds she getting? they have had the (stinger) going on a good line before but it slowed her down alot so they went back to the boucing to get the speed back up lol.. OH... by the way, the stinger is the boat that were replaceing with a 30's era racer, don't know if we can match her speed or not.
