    Hi,
you may want to look at the Great Lakes Scows as well, they go up to about 30 feet long as I remenber it, and I think Buddy Melges has been involved with them quite a bit. There was an article in Wooden Boat magazine about them maybe 15 years ago?

The only scow I know that has a concave bottom is the Inland 20/M-20.

The class association appears to have made a change to a new web server that's not up at the moment.

    Hi,
the one I was thinking of was the A Class scow. These are sailed on the great lakes and are about 26 to 30 feet long. They sail with a crew of six. Buddy Melges is quite active in the class.

But the A's have flat bottoms, not concave.

The M-20 was originally built by Melges Boatworks, hence the "M". Melges tried to monopolize control of the class, which led to it splitting into two classes, the I-20 and M-20.

The E scow is about 8 m, but it, too has a flat bottom.
