| 60' race sailboats NO KEELS???? HOW i looked at race sailboats on the web ans they have no keels. just twin rudders and twin dagerboards why don't they tip over?? ![]() |

| What type of race sailboats? Catamarans perhaps? But seriously... if you're thinking monohulls, you might simply not be seeing everything- mono racers usually have a big heavy bulb on the end of a very long thin strut, instead of the more familiar fin or long keels on cruising yachts... and that keel is often removed when on land, because otherwise the boat's too high up to comfortably work on... then there is of course the water-ballasted Mac26x lake boat, which we are told can beat the stuffing out of every fixed-keel raceboat there is ![]()
