60 ft. BOC Generali Concorde

Hi,

Fairly new to this forum, but very old in building and design of cruiser/racers
Was wondering if anybody had basic plans/info on the Generali Concorde.

This design of the french Finot design group was introduced in the Vendée Globe of 1989 (sailed by Alain Gautier)

I'd like to build a model (1:10) of the hull

Many thanks in advance.

I don't think it will be an easy venture to lay hold of the basic plans of a design of the Finot Group such as Generali Concorde.

In Google you might find their address and a polite letter (no mail) might give you some response.

What you basically need is a frames- and linesplan, probably that of rudder and keel too and a plan of the rig/deckplan.

It is in fact an outdated design but still.................

Good luck!

I bet Finot would be happy to give you those lines. If the lines are easy for him to generate he has nothing to lose and much to gain...namely another one of his designs in the public eye. Are you a pro model builder?

Thanks for the reply.

Had to give it a thought, but I think both of you are right. Getting hold of the basic drawings might be a little hard. On the other hand getting the Finot Group somewhat extra attention down under...............

Think I give it a try and write a polite letter to them.

Thanks.

Nou ik woon in Holland, voor de rest ben ik Engels. D'Artois is de naam van ons domein in Frankrijk, nu is het min of meer m'n achtenaam geworden, ook in Frankrijk.

Groet,
Brien

Down under is New Zealand.
Altijd leuk om weer eens een landgenoot(en) te ontmoeten.
Zit alleen nog met dat ene: tekeningen van de Generali.
Alleen tekeningen van de romp zouden al genoeg zijn.

Groetjes,
Hans

Hi Hans,

New-Zealand, lucky you!

I'd be very interested in seeing some 60' BOC lines myself, if only to put them through their paces with HullDrag/32, a small utility I wrote. Unfortunately, I don't have access to such information...

take care,

Hans
