59" 1/4 scale canoe/built with purplehart timbers and white cedar hull.

Do we have any canoe builders in this forum??
Iam new to this forum and today is my first post.
I have been a master canoe builder for many years.
Iam looking for plans and pictures of small sail boats that you may have built.
I work with cedar alot. Do you think I could build a cedar sail boat covered with fiberglass cloth?? Iam thinking of about a 20' for a small lake.
Hope you like my canoe. Later

Hi littlebear,
Sorry you haven't received a warmer welcome. Your little canoe ist terrific.
I'm sure you could build anything you wanted to build with crafttsmanship like that.
Ae you looking for plans to build from or just pictures? If it's a small lake I suppose you are looking at a daysailer type as opposed to a heavier boat with cabin etc.
Give us a little better idea of what you are looking for and I'm sure you will get some responses.
Thanks for your post.
Gilbert

I remember some time ago I started to design a Scout5 sailing dinghy. It may be somewhere on the forum, but I'll see if I can find it. Principle dimensions were 5m (16 feet 5 inches) LOA by 1.5m (5 feet) Beam and about 0.5 meters (18 inches) draught ( but I think that 1m draught is likely with the keel (I'm going on old numbers)).

I'll see if I can find it, I'm sure I have it somewhere,

Tim B.

I can't seem to find it. Perhaps it never got past the initial sketch. If you are interested, I'm sure I can draw it up for you.
