48+ Sport Fisherman Design

We are looking for a naval designer or architect to assist us in developing hull drawings for three offshore sport fisherman: 48 open, 62 convertible and 72 enclosed pilot house. The boats would be very similiar to Hatteras or Buddy Davis designs but we have a few specific requirements to add.

Boats will be built entirely from aluminum. The design will incorporate prop tunnels as well as bow and stern thrusters. Design speed is minimum 35knt cruise with 35-45 knt desirable range. We anticipate dry weight to exceed the range of comparable boats by 5-10%. More detailed specifications will be provided.

We need expertise in developing the boat's lines, hull, and propulsion package. Deliverables will include consulting services and a complete package of manufacturing drawings.

If you are interested pleased forward your qualification and an example of your work to bordersles@yahoo.com. We will consider novel designs by students who wish to participate on a design team.
