30 mph Amphibious Car

I thought some people might be interested in the Aquada, a new amphibious vehicle capable of 30 mph on water.

I guess this really is a Portager!

I’m going to need a bigger davit!

Regards;
Mike Schooley

Saw this on the news this morning. Built in the UK (who else but the Brits would build such a thing ) - at AUD $300000 you'd best make sure those davits are strong enough Mike!

In the video on the news last night they showed it crossing its own wake. It looked like a rough ride. The bottom has a surprising amount of "V" for a car, but it is very flat for a boat. Still it looks like a very nicely engineered amphibian. It will be a interisting rich mans toy, but hopelessly out of my budget.

Were they designing a car or a boat at the time?

Cheers,
