3 hull idea

i have a chance to get about 20 barge floats there cylinder shaped 8' dia. 12' long i was thinking of splitting the main hull pieces in half and then the same amount into quarters mount the quarters on the tangent of the half to make the basic hull shape it should give me about 8' head room from the base to the top of the deck and almost a 16' deck per section i guess what im wondering is if i can make a live aboard tri with 20 of them that will still be able to get out to a dive site fast or faster than a mono hull would and maybe how long i should go for the over all dimension bow to stern or even if its a good idea at all i just hate to see them go to waste

Do the numbers. Unless you are looking for a hobby, building a whole new boat will probably be cheaper. You will use a lot of materials to cobble together all those pieces.
