    Here's some pictures from a customer that is building a 20ft freighter canoe that I designed. The mold is set up with the keelson, stem and transom and ready for stripping. I'll add more pictures as the build progresses.

    Checked out your website. ::thumbsup::

    All this boat designing has reminded me that I haven't finished my CNC router. :confused:

    Need to build my tools so I can build better tools...

    Cnc

    Yessir... though it'd be more accurate to say that I am "designing" a CNC router.

    (I haven't started building anything yet)

    Things keep coming up, and I haven't locked down my "design spiral" yet. I know I need a minimum envelope of 5'x10'. But I am not decided on how much Z-axis I need, how beefy it needs to be, etc. I might need to incorporate a lathe or rotary table into it at a later date, as some of the stuff is pretty complex.

    I'm sort of at the point where it doesn't make sense anymore for me to be paying other people for the work I should be doing myself.

    Yep. Quite a difference between that and the patch of dead grass under a shade tree that's serving as a workshop for my flat-bottomed canoe....and I'll bet his tools don't have any rust on them, either. :p

    They have a great space with lots of light. Quite different from my garage where I built my 18 footer

    Shade tree artistry has its merits and my tools have some rust too. :)

    He's moving right along; looks good. Is that Titebond III he's using for glue?

    Dude,

    My house isn't even that clean.

    I hate to sound critical, but sawdust catches glue drippings. You should ease off with the broom a bit. No mere mortal can build a boat in a shop that clean.

    It's like you're in a museum or something.

    Yup
    It doesn't set as quick as the regular stuff, so you have a little more time to line things up.
