1979 baja -Do i keep the Foam????

Well I'm new to this forum and have realized there are many wise and experienced boaters on here , and was wondering if some on could give me some advise. I bought a 1979 open bow baja boat last summer, and have started the restoration process. I have currently removed the soggy floor and foam which was under it. Now my question is , is that there is a sealed portion at the very nose of the boat mabey 3-4 feet that also has foam. I cut some of the fiber glassed wood apart and it all seems pretty dry. Should i cut all the foam out any ways? Also what ,if anything should i put under the new floor? Thanks in advance.
