1968 SaftMate

I have a 1968 SaftMate. Floor and stringers were replaced in 1997. Had 40 hp on until 1998, then was replaced with a 55 hp. I took the motor off yesterday and noticed that there is slight bowing in the transom (only visible with close inspection). Transom seems to be solid, though damp. Does this indicate that the transom should be replaced?

Anyone know about the quality of these boats?

Thanks.

Transom Bowed .25 inch

My question is whether this slight bowing is a sign that the transom is no longer solid?? It does not flex or have any soft spots ....

Should be ok as long as there is no flexing or cracking.
