What is vacuum bagging?

I've searched the web and can't find a basic answer. How does the process work? Does it involve building some sort of template for the hull? Is it a complicated/difficult process for the DIYer? Is it the technique used to build kevlar and carbon fiber hulls? Thanks for any info!

Start from there but there are many other places to find information.
The complexity varies with the shape and type of composite you're making.

What do you want to do?

Here's an amateur building a Farrier trimaran using vacum infusion.
This is a very informative site.

Vacuum bagging is a form of weight lose for poor people that can't afford lypo suction or a really eager hooker, take your pick.

A booklet that describes some processes, although hopelessly outdated, is by West System: "Advanced Vacuum Bagging Techniques".
