Small Boat Competition

Im entering a small boat competition that involves builiding a small craft in two hours then attempting to sail/race it on short course. If any one has any hints or ideas i would be very gratefull!

the materials available 1 sheet of plywood 8 by 4, 1 8ft 2 by 2, 1/2 pound of roofing nails, 1 roll of duct tape, 1 pack of garbage bags 1 tube of silicone and 10 yards of rope.

the boat must have freeboard and no outboards are permitted.

regards

I hope you haven't already done this yet - get online and look for one sheet skiffs! There are a couple designs you could easily build - V nose flat bottom or johnboat. 2 Hours! Shouldn't be a problem if they let you use power tools.
