| silicone bronze bolts Does anyone have an idea if it is better to use silicone bronze bolts or stainless steel bolts on a transom repair,and what makes the difference . thanx |

| Like Gonzo said it depends on usage. Put beware of quality and differences in materials. Not everything that says silicon bronze is and there are many type of stainless steel. If your going to put a lot of force on it consider a rated SS Bolt from a reputable dealer. It will cost you more money but they will be able to tell exactly what it can do. Torque, elongation, corrosion vary tremendously by just a letter difference in code. |

| I want to use them to braze the transom to the stringers. On the transom side plus on the stringer side. |
