My idea is a new type of propellers. Propellers, designed with the most intelligent programs and created the most modern equipment, came to its limit. An attempt to move to a high functional and technological level. That image is much older then the July 2010 patent application date suggests it is. I can think of several issues that don't look to have been addressed, more importantly the lack of a comparative video showing it's thrust cone next to a conventional prop, leaves me thinking my assumption about this "device" are correct. I think it would be a great way to aerate water for large aquariums though.

reminds me of a jet turbine intake. How efficient are those at moving air or water? I'll bet there is already a patent on something similar to this, but it may have expired if the idea didn't work out in production.
