plans

Iam looking for plans for a boat of the Mckenzie river style but has a place to mount a outboard engine on the inside of the boat about 2/3 the way back and the out board is placed threw the bottom of the boat instead of on the transon.

elvin,
I don’t know of any Mckenzie river drift boats with a setup like that. There are some dories like that. I’ll see what I can find when I get home. How big of a boat are you looking for?

elvin,

Well I checked my ever expanding library of designs/plans and I find nothing that fits your criteria. Drift boats started out life as double enders. The small flat stern was added as a place to mount a long shaft small hp outboard. A well inside a boat this size can eat a lot of space. You might contact someone like Ken Hankinson, he has many drift boat plans. He might put a well in one for you. Here are some of his boats.

Good luck
