OMC V4 reqiured transom clearance

I am currently restoring a 1965 17' Savage Riviera(Australian designed and built). When I started the restoration there was no outboard present . My question is I am wanting to raise the height of the transom either side of the engine (as it was almost flat before),but I do not know how much clearance to leave for an OMC 90deg V4.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

The supplier of the OMC can probably tell you that. Outerwise measure it out or get some drawings to determine the clearances.
