well it was designed by Ray Sargeant as an updated mahogany runabout using the Subaru EA 82 power. Engine and trans weigh less than 300 lbs. It drives a cogged belt turning a 16" prop. I have since started a second boat stretched 11" which will be powered by Mercury's new Vazar sterndrive and have a second cockpit.

The mahogany I used was 3/16" mahogany planking left over from Higgins PT boat operations- it was acquired to sheath PT boats in WWII and somehow ended up in a warehouse for 60 years until I came along and bought it all.

So, you did nothing less than building a boat out of the most precious material at the market! Congratulations! And nice to know that timber did´nt end up in a computer designed "Gin and Barbeque" platform.
