Censored; - in that some ijit wanted me to attest I was over 18, and then to register my email address before showing the video - It may have been an attempt to plant a data-logger or some other Trojan which will never work on my machine as I run unix....

OK that expectorant is marginal for washing your mouth but DO NOT SWALLOW as the coke will kill you - As a sailor? you should stick to neat rum, andfor the wimps out therea, then dilute with pure-solidified-water (ice)...., Brandy is for posing with at the casino after a big win (A brandy balloon glass of distilled wine held in your right hand and Brandy the bosomed blond adorning your left hand...)

You're right on the rum part. One of my fishing friends bring us a bottle when we go fishing in the salt. Works very well.

see you now have direction in your life - and Chichester also had an understanding of the needs of a sailor - just a different taste....

Ok back to the business of this thread - visually not much, a bit more bogging and fairing then to get some painting done before putting that work to one side and building the other side then joining the two halves - that will take the timeline to mid/end June for some fit-out and bridgedeck structures... The pictures look very similar but lots of work has been done...

Strange, - before building commenced I could visualise almost every part by closing my eyes and reviewing the design... - Now it is possible to open my eyes (when I am at the shed) and see it - trying to visualise as I used to - does not happen - The visualisation is in the detail of the part I am thinking of, and the rest is faded out...? and I have not been able to get a good feel for the space between the 2 aft berths on the bridgedeck, nor forward around the forward cockpit and inside nav/office areas (P & S of the forward cockpit)... ? - - Maybe because I have not seen the space (in another boat) and fixed that area firmly in my mind...

Oh dear, I hope you're not losing it

Besides, the boat is upside down. Wait untill it is the right way up. I never heard of anyone with a capsized boat trying to visualise interior details

It will come back.

Trust Fanie to see the humourous side - Now we are really in need of an ability to laugh, lest we all cry at the US con on the rest of the world... Things is getting worse globally - Thanks America....

Keep those pics comming. I'm collecting them. Showed them one of my fishing friends, he said he didn't realise the size of it... don't know what he thought one go out with. Some okes only think the size of their... oh never mind.

Never mind what the US does. Just do what you do and all will be ok in the end. If it is not ok, then it is not the end yet

Well the recent rains put a bit of a dampener on the build progress, with work only on Monday and Friday. The bum is epoxied and chocolate covered and the sides coated with bog ready for a bit of torture board exercise - This is what I was "looking forward to" as a means of loosing some of my extra gut/weight - - But the surgeon recommends abstinence from proximity to epoxy period and booze for another two weeks - life seems almost devoid of the simple pleasures????

I will endeavour to get a couple of images on the weekend to keep you all "happy", and in the meantime - read up on the economic thread Global economic situation for liveaboard cruising yachties as I feel a cut&paste of vigorous link posting session coming on for those that can read...

I got an interesting email from Terry King, who, many of you regulars will remember from his excellent photographic coverage of the F1 boat racing a couple of years ago in China - I can only look forward to his visit if/when he comes 'downunder'...

So, this afternoon will get some more images to post - the bottom of the port hull is anti-fouled and plastic wrapped to protect it from the topsides paint. - It will then be rolled over and set aside whilst the starboard side is built and similarly finished then the 2 sides will be joined.

Scored an electric ceramic-cook-top at the boat-show, almost got a 130mm compass, enquired after several gensets - bugger no replies for that yet? - seems some business is not interested in making sales - another self-made task? - - - Batteries may default to spiral wound AGM cells, Motors are Torqeedo 4.0R "outboards" - long shaft with controllers, Standing rigging is local construction & sails - flat cut - using a cruising laminate on roller furling/reefing system - all very KISS so far, - as electronics and deck hardware will be from known suppliers (not much difference in choice except support/cost margin?)...

Appropriate product offers are solicited - send me a PM, with a link to your catalogue and pricing structure for delivery just north of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia...

Well those shots of 23rd were done in the "dusk/dawn" setting... Now with a more appropriate setting (automatic), these show the hull getting close to receiving its undercoat.... This extravaganza of visual edification cost me some $333 and 4 points (12 allowed in any 12 months then loss of drivers licence) so that amount will go as an expense item in my build cost.... The 4 points as experience, beware of unmarked police cars out to raise revenue in a cash strapped Queensland Government...

Next item on the agenda, - - Genset, - - and I feel that Sea Wasp Australia Pty Ltd, will get the deal to supply the marinised Kubota 'bobtail' 21 hp 3 cylinder 719cc engine - and I have to secure a final quote from another supplier to assemble the package for the alternators & separate unit for the controls / regulators to charge 48v nominal, spiral wound AGM batteries...
