Me and my Sleek Craft

Hey all!

Firstly to introduce myself, im Shane from Ireland, Cork to be percise down the very South!

I have just bought a Sleek Craft 26ft. Now i dont know the model of it but i do know there is a 2 year old Volvo Penta 4.3L V6.

The boat itself is in need of repair and have already gutted the interior.

The hull and engine are pretty much perfect. Here is an image but appologies for the small size and quality!

Now what im looking for is some info on this kind of sleek craft on the net have searched but not found much...

Any hints and tips on this kind of boat??

Oh and to say i love the boat is an understatement!!

Thanks in Advance,

Shane

Sully, hey. I recognise that boat! I saw it on the roadside in Crosshaven last time I was down there. Also it was in Ringsend basin in Dublin sitting in the water there for quite some time!
What kind of info are you looking for about the boat?
Call me if you want 086 8783735, Alan
By the way I'm in Dublin

Your boat is an Sleekcraft Ambassador

Your boat is an Sleekcraft Ambassador, they where made from 1977 to 1981, by Sleekcraft of California, this was the largest Jet Pump Driven Day Cruiser made on those days. I own one from 1980 (see attached pictures) which I keep in brand new condition (New Stringers, Transom and Floor just installed this year). She have a 454 Big Block Chevrolet Engine with 432HP and a Berkeley Jet Drive which push the boat to 70MPH... not bad... I love this boat... it is a piece of boat building history... very popular in the 70's and 80's... today is what some people call an "Old School Play Boy Boat"...

I believe that there are not many of this boats floating this days... so take good care of this old but excellent boat.
