looking for small race boat plans/kit

As a first stab at boatbuilding, i was thinking of building a small race-style, outboard motor boat in the 12-15' category. What i am looking for is a boat that is quick, has good handling characteristics, and can make tight turns. All out speed is not that important (ei i don't want a drag race boat). Any suggestion? Thanks in advance.

take a look around http://www.glen-l.com
I'm building a boat from their plans and patters and like them so far and are geared toward the beginner.

Hey Jeseh. i am currently looking at Glen-I and Clarke for 13 footers. Both places have race standard runabouts. Nice to hear that you are pleased with Glen-I. Late.
