Looking for Guide on how to build a windscreen

I have a Savage Tasman Cabin cruiser, bought it without a windscreen, I would love to make my own but not sure how to bend the aluminium frame, I can't seem to find much info on making them.

caughtafish,

The alloy used in windscreen frames is very soft (anealed), it bends easily around virtually any former. Simply use drums or diameter pipe that suits the curves required.

Once bent though it starts to harden up, so do noy play around with the bends, get the radius right first time (overbend by about 2 inches as it will spring back a bit) .Trial and error will see you through, but do make sure that the former fits the job, you will not get a second chance.

http://www.eaglealuminium.com.au/suppliers.php
http://www.cityplastics.com.au/boat.html

and when you speak to them ask who they can advise you get it from if they do not deal direct

There are alloy window specialists like Boat Windows, etc etc that will sell you lengths too
