Latex Bladder

In a question related to the previous post, has anyone used latex bladders? I used a home-made bladder to get the foam cores into the bow and stern, and it's a great technique.

The only problem was the amount of air leaking out of the bags. There subsequently was no pressure along the keel, and that area will need some patching. Again, there are a few photos at http://www.turnershells.com/construc3.htm

Can latex bags be glued up relatively air-tight? Anyone tried any other materials?

Regards,
