Identify old bronze winches?

Hi,
I am wondering if anyone can help in identifying this winch - It has been taken from a Guy Thompson T24 and I am looking for spares...

Many thanks

If there is no makers mark on it then it might be South Coast. If it has a trident trademark on the top then it’s Merriman Brothers or its decedents. But it’s hard to tell from a picture like that. Does it have any marks at all?

Hi Robert,

No Trident mark. The only markings on the winch are an arrow on the top screw, "-3/06" is stamped into the base of the topscrew and "3/01" stamped into the base plate of the winch.

Thanks

Alex

No Alex, it’s not South Coast or Merriman Brothers. Merriman always had the trademark and South Coast had a top with squared sides instead of the tapered sides of the top shown in the picture.
Sorry,

They may not be Merriman's (without the Trident) but they are exact copies. They look identical to my #3's which might be part of the part number you listed above.

"-3/06" is stamped into the base of the topscrew and "3/01" stamped into the base plate of the winch.
