I pretty much have planned how PAR mentioned. I plan to attached come-a-longs to one rail and to the roof beams to one side of my garage. I'll lift one rail until opposite rail is below it or nearly so. As PAR said, she'll want to roll on over so I'll reverse the come-a-longs and let the hull roll itself over in a controlled manner. The last real build I did was small enough that a few forms around the hull and a little muscle was all it took to roll it over. Having the capacity to roll at will is certainly nice.

You could build a gantry, but unless you roll boats frequently enough to justify the cost and foot print these take up, a simple temporary frame will do. I rolled a boat this weekend and used two old ladies and a buddy of mine, that mistakenly thought free beer might be involved.

I rolled a boat in a different manner one time.

The trailer broke and it rolled it right on to the highway. Such a fond memory.

ooooh - could have been a hit on your personal liability cover at 6 min, 30 secs.

I wouldnt have released the video in that case :)

Makes a good "what to watch out for" video.
