I could use a few more details about the boat you're building. I also have no idea what epoxy resin weighs. My guess is 5kg would equal about 1 ½ US gallons, +/- ½ gallon. This would be about right for an 8’ dinghy. For fillets you add filler material to the resin, wood flour, ground glass, talc, are just a few that work well. Mix it thick enough so the fillet won’t sag, but still spreads smooth.

I’ll see if I can find some web references for you. I don’t have the writing skills to walk you through the whole process.

Take a minute to register so I know who I’m talking to. Then tell us about your boat

5kg of resin is about 1 U. S. gallon which is about right for an 8' pram if you're also going to coat the hull with resin. You also refer to 1kg of filleting. If you're talking about the 3" tape, that should come out to about 120' or more. I don't know if your pram is a single or double chine or if you're supposed to add 1 or 2 layers to each side so I can't say if that's too much or not enough. Since you already have the plans measure the length of the chines and multiply by the number of layers you'll have to apply.

Give us a few more details and we'll help you out. I built a Fireball (16' sailboat) quite a few years back with the stitch and tape method. It's really quite an easy and fast building method.
