how to fix my boats hull

hello everyone!!! just joined hoping to get some questions answered...i have a late 70s 19 ft runabout that is being restored, recently i found out that the hull is made out of plywood sanwiched in fiberglass, ive notived some rot where some stringers one sat and on the keel.. how can i repair this hull? does all the plywood need to come of? can i repair only the rotted sections?has anyone done this kind of repair before? need advice
